Springer
The open access publishing program was resumed on April 24, 2026, with a pool of 1,381 articles. Starting this year, authors can choose a subscription model for publications in the “Publishing and Rights” form, but we continue to encourage authors to publish openly. The publisher does not provide for the retroactive activation of articles; only articles accepted for publication after the program’s launch are eligible for the program.
The program allows authors affiliated with Polish academic institutions to publish open access articles in Springer hybrid journals. The costs of publishing articles under the program (Article Processing Charge) are covered by the Springer national license fee, funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The program is intended for correspondence authors affiliated with institutions that are covered by the Springer national license and have established an Article Approval Service (AAS) administrative account to verify the affiliation of their authors. The affiliation of authors in the program is verified by local coordinators.
Other optional additional fees for color drawings, etc., are not covered by the Program. Detailed information on how to order prints, along with contact email addresses, is available at How can I obtain journal article reprints?
