British Library

The National Library of Great Britain was created in 1973, as decided by the British Parliament, from the merger of several institutions, including the British Museum Library, and the Patent Office Library.

The library provides access to the world’s most extensive scholarly collection, which includes over 170 million items, covering artifacts from all eras of written civilization.
